That Saturday was an artsy weekend for both of us. Actually we didn't plan to do anything related to art, however we both were so bored of our weekend while in the town. So my husband browsed about Singapore's events on Sistic, and we got the news that there was Dans festival which performed Nederlands Dans Theater 2 in Esplanade. The Nederlands Dans Theater (NDT) is one of the world's leading contemporary dance companies. NDT performs on a yearly basis for an international audience worldwide in Europe, the USA, Australia and Asia. The show was held at 8 pm. Everything was unplanned and we both were excited to attend the event because we had never seen such kind of show before.
Before we watched the performance, we both started our day by having our lunch at kopitiam or coffee shop at the below of our living area. After that, we both headed to Starbucks to relax and read our books. We both like to spend our time there for several hours.

It was 2 pm and we decided to do something else, so I suggested my husband to go to Marina Bay Sands to do some window shopping. Window shopping is fun although you know there are things you can't afford. We were there until 4 pm and my husband asked to go to nearby plaza to Esplanade. We went to Suntec City and unbelieveably, the mall was very huge. I'd been here for once and it was almost closing time so this time I could explore more. We even could see an event there, a meet and greet event with a Korean actor. But time was running out so both of us were like rushing to Esplanade.

We had our dinner at Toast Box, the food was okay. We were so scared about being late though the time was just 6.30 pm. Since we still got our time before the performance, we both went to the top of Esplanade building and we could enjoy the nice view from the upside.

We entered the theater earlier than other people, and we sat at the back side. Unfortunately, we couldn't take pictures or record videos during the performance.

The NDT performed 7 perfomances which all of them amazed me. I clapped a lot that night. Even there were a few minutes for time-break, husband and I were very amazed of this festival. Two-hour perfomance with cheap price is really satisfied!
