It was on Friday (11 September 2015); what a long weekend! I felt so blessed because I could spend my weekend with my husband. So we planned to go back to Johor Bahru (In fact, we just came back from Johor Bahru last week, check the story at
Saturdate Weekend at Johor Bahru ) and we thought the queue would not be so crowded. We woke up at 7 am and felt so excited. As usual, we took MRT from Tiong Bahru to Woodlands, and at Woodlands, we took bus no
950 (
Berth 13)
We arrived at Woodlands at 9 am and we were so shocked to see the queue. It was a long queue and I understand how Singaporeans love queuing. I, as Indonesian, sometimes don't like to queue and better think something else to figure out. We stood at
Berth 11, together with other people who wanted to go to Johor Bahru. Then there was two guys coming at us and asked about how they could go to Johor Bahru. They also stood along with us. They were brothers and wanted to go to Johor Bahru after the election. Both of them tried to guess (me and my husband) whether we're Singaporean or Malaysian. Hahaha.. When we said we're Indonesian, they were like "Oooohh...."
While we stood over there, I looked around and realised that the berth 11 had a journey to Johor Bahru too, (but it only stops at
Woodlands Train Checkpoint). The bus number is
911. I told to my husband that we should take the bus and maybe there's a chance to be there earlier. Then we moved to the bus no
911's line. The two brothers also followed us. And then the bus came. It was so crowded and we should stood nearby the exit door of the bus. Here comes the trouble, along the way to Woodlands Checkpoint, the traffic was like welcoming us. I started to think that we're gonna face super crowded things ahead.
The driver dropped us at two stops before we supposed to stop. We didn't mind because of the traffic. Together with all passengers, we walked, passing the hawker centre. It took about 20 minutes to walk to Woodlands Checkpoint. After finishing everything at the immigration section, it was the time to take another bus to Sultan Iskandar Building (Custom). The queue of people waiting buses were also crazy. We took Bas Pekerja (bus for general workers, but they also serve for tourists) and it costs RM 2. I was separated with my husband due to the crowd. But when we had arrived at the Sultan Iskandar Building, we reunited again.
The line to custom was crazy. Quite long. Unfortunately, taking photos and videos are restricted over there. After all, we finally entered Johor Bahru at 12 pm. And also we separated with the two brothers after the custom. My husband and I took another bus to
Aeon Tebrau City (most people call it Jusco), the bus terminal is located at the below of the custom. To go to Aeon Tebrau City, you need to take bus no
BET 6 (RM 2,50 per person), but we didn't want to wait too long, so we took bus no
BET 2. It costs RM 2,40 per person. Actually, it only takes 20 minutes to be there, but that day's traffic was really really bad.

After being almost 30 minutes in the bus, the driver dropped us at the street nearby the mall. It's our second time to be here, so we know the way to be there.

After lunch, we walked around the mall, sadly the mall doesn't have retail stores and it was quite boring to me. My husband also thought the same, so we decided to go to KSL City. Planning to take a regular taxi, we waited outside. And there's this driver, he offered his premium taxi. We thought it might be very expensive, but we need to go to KSL City before dinner time, because we have another thing to do, so we said yes. The taxi inside was very clean, comfortable and the AC worked well. The perfect thing was that the driver was able to speak Bahasa Indonesia.

He told us about things in Johor Bahru, like places, good food, upcoming theme park and his previous job in Singapore. It was interesting to listen his stories because it was also traffic at that moment. We arrived in KSL at 3 pm and we paid RM40 to him. He was so friendly and we were so pleased to have his service.

At KSL City, we went to the place that we wanted to do, FOOT MASSAGING. It's called
Royal Balinese Spa, a brand new place at the mall. We were asked to wait until 4 pm because of waiting list, and we arrived there at 3 pm, so we said we're back at 4 pm. We went to J.Co Donuts and Cafe because my coffee-lover-husband wanted to have a cup of coffee over there. Me? A glass of Iced Chocolate. We sat there until the time we should go.

After massage, my husband said he wanted to eat Lok-Lok. He read from a website that the food would be sold at a car at Jalan Serigala, so both of us were very excited to go there. We took around Jalan Serigala from 5 until 6.30 but we couldn't see the car. Hopefully we could find it next time when we go back to Johor Bahru.

My husband was very disappointed and he felt like nowhere else to eat because he never tried Lok-Lok before. So I suggested to go back to City Square and had a dinner over there. From KSL City, we took a bus outside the mall to City Square, it costs RM 1,50 per person.
Dinner time means you got to fight with other people to get a table and your meal. This should be one of our lessons next time. We arrived at City Square around 7 pm. And all restaurants were almost full, some only served one or two menus. I couldn't take the hunger, so I suggested my husband to eat at Secret Recipe. I craved for Fried Rice so I ordered the menu. My husband ordered Beef Steak. It only took 15 minutes to finish it. I was super hungry although the egg was a little bit burned.

After eating so many food, we drank Boost Juice, a juice bar that sells fresh juice and smoothies. It's located at Komtar, beside the City Square. Singapore has it but the price a bit expensive. Wild Berry Juice was our choice that time. It contains juiced pineapple, apple, raspberries, strawberries and blueberries plus energiser booster.

Our holiday this time maybe was not that good like before. But I always enjoy it though there's always up and down. Hopefully we could try more culinary next time when we come back there.
